The game started with Garin College kicking off to Coopers. Pretty soon Garin scored their first try from a good run and a few missed tackles from coopers to help but this wasn't converted.

However, Dan Cosford soon levelled the deficit by executing a good move and skipping past the No15 to put the ball down. This however was not converted.

A long period of Coopers-dominated play then passed by sadly amounting to no score. The forwards really showed off both defensive and offensive skill here, as well as stamina. The backs also showed their versatility by rucking well when needed and putting in some great tackles.

Despite this, a short lapse in concentration allowed the opposition to score a run away try due to an isolated man missing a tackle, which was really against the flow of play.

Along came half time, with  discussion between players and coaches resulting in tactics changed and the pressure was again reapplied, which resulted in a very lucky yet also skilful and instinctive team try, finally finished  by Oli 'Dozza' Dorrington. Tom Hill and Beckett started the move off with a few short passes to one another allowing them to pass many defenders. Dozza eventually dived on a loose ball to execute the move.

Again, amongst much possession near the Garin try line, a well worked move allowed the Garin No11 to  a tackle and run the length of pitch while being chased down by a worn out Coopers team, who were still staying strong well into the game. For the first and only time for both teams, this try was converted.

Again, the very unlucky Cooperains levelled the try count with the eldest Hill brother scoring a great try, all made possible by 'EJ' Shepherd powering throw a few men them offloading to Tom who forced his way past the full back to place the ball the corner.

Unfortunately this again wasn't converted which meant Coopers lost my a thin margin. Despite the loss, every man played well and it could be said that we were the better team, but that's how the cookie crumbles.
