Coopers 2nd XV vs Middletown Grange Match Report Final Score 24-12

Coopers got off to flying start with quick ball delivered to Henry Beckett whereby he broke the startled opposition's defensive line, to use his electrifying pace to run the ball from Coopers' 22 metre line to the opposition's 10 metre line, only to put Tom Hill into bundles of space to score the opening try. After successfully stopping MG's persistent attempts to breach C's defensive line, C's forced a stunning turnover. The couple of phases that followed led to another fantastic line break from Henry Beckett which allowed him to score C's 2nd try of the game. Following the relentless attack of MG, C's conceded a try just before the half time whistle blew. C's came out into the second half determined to put another try between themselves and MG, which soon became an eventuality thanks to Ethan Shepard putting Henry Beckett through a whole on MG's 22 metre line. However, MG remained relentless and forced C's to concede another try down the left wing. Shortly after though, JJ bobbed and weaved throughout MG's backline defence, to close both the scoring and the game. Tom Lucas-Roast maintained a 50% conversion rate narrowly missing out on the ones he put wide. A great team performance all round and a well deserved win to conclude an amazing set of games in New Zealand.
